The problem we address
More than 85% of Nigerian adults remain unvaccinated against HBV, despite a safe and effective vaccine being available. Most Prostate Cancer cases present at advanced, incurable stages — not because early detection is impossible, but because awareness remains low and diagnostic services are inaccessible.
In Ibadan, where NAEHF begins its work, these failures are plainly visible. Despite the presence of one of West Africa’s most prominent teaching hospitals, only a fraction of men at risk have ever undergone PSA screening, and adult Hepatitis B vaccination remains largely unavailable at the community level.
NAEHF exists to close this gap — through consistent, community-level presence that translates awareness into action, and action into lives saved.
